Palaeoclimatology – understanding the past for coral reefs’ future

Mangrove forests provide numerous services that can be utilised
through nature-based solutions to help address societal challenges, such as food security and disaster risk reduction. Effective conservation is therefore essential to ensure the health of these valuable habitats and the coastal
communities that depend upon them.
In MaCoBioS, we developed a framework to guide practitioners and decision-makers in choosing the appropriate blue nature-based solutions, which goes from the protection measures to restoration activities and other management measures.
